Who funds those high fructose corn syrup studies?

We've been seeing a deceptive commercial recently on high fructose corn syrup. The commercial tries to discredit the woman who says it's not good for us, and of course she can't back up her claim, so the message for us to believe is that it is made from corn so it's natural and safe and the same as sugar.

Now I think we all know that too much sugar can cause many health problems, but high fructose corn syrup is much worse than sugar. It is an artificial product and almost always comes from genetically modified corn which in itself is full of side effects and health concerns. On top of that fact, high fructose corn syrup is metabolized to fat in your body much quicker than sugar, and contributes to weight gain because it makes you crave more of it.

And do you know who funds the studies on high fructose corn syrup? The major studies have been funded by companies with financial interest in the products that contain high fructose corn syrup, Pepsi to name just one of them.
